Today, I’m positively brimming with excitement over the Found Cottage Market Mercantile!

It is almost here. If you are in Michigan and love design, decor, and just pure fun - this event is always a blast.
The mercantile is filled and styled with the most amazing pieces. As a life long lover of bits and bobs, this is a great day to spend with the gals.
If you’re planning to attend, may I be so bold as to offer some recommendations?
Arrive Early: The early hours are when the world feels fresh and full of promise. Plus, you’ll have first pick of all the marvelous finds.
Bring a Purse Full of Coins: While many vendors accept cards, there’s something so delightfully old-fashioned about paying with crisp bills or jingling coins.
Carry a Sturdy Bag (or Perhaps a Wagon!): You’ll need something to carry all the treasures you’ll discover. I daresay you’ll find more than you ever imagined! Your two hands work too.
Stay for the Entire Day: There’s so much to see and do that you’ll want to savor every moment. And the food—oh, the food!—it’s worth lingering for.

But that’s not all! Usually a day before the market, I make a day of exploring the vibrant streets of Grand Rapids. Some of my very favorite stops include:
Stoffer Home: A shop that feels like stepping into a storybook, filled with the most beautifully curated home goods and decor. If you are not following Jean Stoffer, it is worth checking out her instagram.
Counting House: The owner has an eye for unique pieces bringing vintage and modern together.
Commune GR: A delightful small business and home goods store that’s brimming with lovely finds for your cozy space.
Gemini Handmade: A treasure trove of handcrafted leather goods and other delightful artisan creations.
Nestology Shop & Studio: A whimsical space. Oh, so many lovely items.
